Pince

Town’s postcard

1942

During the Second World War, the Prekmurje Region, including Pince settlement, were part of Hungary. In 1942, not-too-good-quality postcards were issued picturing major settlements in the region. Among these settlements there was Pince as well. The postcard has three motifs. The central part of the postcard shows the belfry along the main road, built at the end of the 19th century. In front of the belfry there is a cross dedicated in 1861. The other picture shows the Gazdag grocery, with the owner and some buyers in its front. The third picture shows a section of the street with the houses along the main street.
